How to review Take Home Pay


Navigate to "Process a Pay" then "Take Home Pay", or you can access this from any timesheet by selecting "Take Home Pay".

The "Take Home Pay" page shows you what each employee will receive for this pay period and provides a detailed breakdown of how the final figure has been calculated.

Along the top line, "Gross Earnings" will show any "taxable allowances (regular / irregular) or deductions (regular / irregular), if there are any. This figure is the total that Crystal Payroll will use to calculate the PAYE.

Below, Crystal Payroll will show any other variances like "Tax Arrears", "KiwiSaver" and "Payroll Giving".

Alongside some figures are information ( i ) buttons. These will display a more detailed breakdown of the figure shown. You can also change some of the figures, such as the PAYE amount, should you disagree with the amount calculated.

Once you are happy that each of your employees pays is correct, you may tick the "Approved" checkbox (in the upper blue panel) or select "Approve All" (in the lower white panel) to approve the take home pay of all employees.

Once approved, you can choose to preview a selected employee's payslip, or (as long as you have approved all employees' pays) you can select "Payslip for All Employees" from the dropdown menu. Select "Print" to preview all your employees' payslips or print off the report, and select "Email & Export" to email the payslips over to each employee, respectively.

In terms of processing your payments, your pay run is now effectively complete. All you need to do now is pay your employees the amount as shown under "Take Home Pay".
