How to Assign a Half Day OffSelect "Process a Pay", then "Time & Income".
When assigning a half day off, you need to add a second entry for the employee for that date.
In the example above, Julius Cobb normally works 8 hours but should take a half day on Wednesday the 21st of September. Suppose the employer wants to pay half a day as "Normal Working" and half a day as "Annual Leave". The employee's timesheet automatically shows their default working hours. The employer needs to select the date (21/09/2022) on the left-hand side, then edit the hours along the top of the page from "8" hours to "4", and then select "Save". Next, the employer needs to enter the date again into the "Date" field along the top of the page, directly under "Timesheet & Income". The employer would then choose "Annual Leave" from the "Action" dropdown menu, and enter the "Leave Hours" as "4". Finally, the employer needs to select "Save".
Following these steps, the employer would have created a second row in the employee's timesheet table with the same date (21/09/2022). One row shows "4" hours to be paid as "Normal Working", and the other shows "4" hours to be paid as "Annual Leave". |
