Crystal Payroll can integrate with over thirty* time management systems. Click here for a complete list of time management systems that we currently integrate with. To set up your integration with your time management software, navigate to “Company Settings”, “Import/Export”. Under “Data Import Settings”, you can choose the software you would like to integrate with.
*If we do not currently integrate with your software, please let us know so that we may contact their developers about integration.
The most significant piece of information to remember is to match all relevant data with what is in your time management system. An issue as minor as an employee having a double space between their First and Last name in one system and not the other can cause the import to fail. This is why you should always double-check that your identifications match, as it probably makes up for 99% of issues related to imports.
Keep in mind that most systems export their unique format and contain code-specific acronyms or words for matching items in our system. This means that you have to use your time management software’s export function in most cases if you want to import data efficiently.
Once you have set up our system to work with your time management system’s format, the next step is to set up your time management system to work with Crystal Payroll. Each time management software has its own set of instructions for doing this. Some systems do not have a specific export for Crystal Payroll. In these instances, you would want to contact them or us for export instructions. Be sure to check their help files, too, for relevant information.
Once you have exported your file from your time management software, please return to Crystal Payroll, and navigate to “Process a Pay”, “Time & Income”. Ensure the dates are set correctly. The pay period dates should include the dates listed in your time management export file. Next, select the “Data Import” on the right-hand side, then “Choose File”, select your export file, open, then select “Import”.
Double-check the information translated correctly to Crystal Payroll. If your import is successful, you can now proceed with processing your pay.
